House Full O' Estrogen

I wish I could figure out how to scan in our ultrasound pictures, not that that would really help, since they are about as clear as midnight in a snowstorm, but both John and the ultrasound tech agreed that we were getting another girl. Poor John. My Uncle Jeff is a rancher with four daughters, and he's been calling himself a "bad bull" for years. (He did finally get his much-wanted son a month ago.) It's been fun to rib John about also being a "bad bull", but I fear that the teasing might just be too much for him this time.
This is a strange feeling for me. I always thought, growing up with six brothers, that I would have only boys. To have three girls is a crazy twist.

What's the quote......A son is a son till he takes him a wife, a daughter is a daughter all of her life. Congrats on #3!

Girls are so much fun though! I just had a sisters weekend with my two sisters and it was so much fun. You can have a boy or two later...right?

Hey Em. This is cousin Sarah. I hope you don't mind me lurking on your blog from time to time. I found it through a comment you made on Katie's. Congratulations on #3!

A hearty congrats from the Story Family. The world rejoices at the addition of another female Wells. Seriously. Your girls are so cute and smart. Such great news. And I'm sure there's a mini-John waiting in the wings...

It took me a while to realize that Audrey was really going to be a girl, I come from a family where everyone has one of each in the beginning so I can relate to your strange feeling, if it was like me; I was just a little surprised! But, how exciting for another princess in the house, you have darling daughters and if there is never a boy, at least you will be surrounded by lots of grandkids, a few of whom will surly be of the male variety! Congrats on another lovely little girl!

I guess I should have made it more clear that I am delighted to have another girl. I figure we've done all right so far with our girls, and so another one certainly won't hurt. I was just confused because I wasn't expecting another girl. (However, I lay no claims to motherly intuition. I have thought both previous pregnancies were boys as well.)
Sarah, I am happy to have you read my blog--no worries about lurking here.

Congratulations! I think it is so fun just to know if you are having a boy or girl because you can start planning and preparing. Good luck with #3!

Wow! Congrats. I totally missed this news as well! Did you post about it before?? ( I just read your last few posts, but I wasn't aware before that!). I LOVE little girls and I have seven sisters! My dad has lots of jokes you could share with John when he is feeling better about it all (ie. It takes a man to make a man and such...) My dad was happy to share them with Greg while we were awaiting the news of our third child and wondering if it would be a third girl! Lucky girls, though. Sisters are priceless. Congrats!

Hi, this is Aunt Rachel. Got the news via email from your dad and then when I saw your post on Katie's blog I decided to try to say congratulations on the expected girl. So, congratulations! I always tease Dave that I tried and tried to talk him into more boys, but he just insisted on five girls. Tell John that little girls leave you love notes and boys, not so much. How old are Livy and Mimi now? Is Livy ready for school? I don't know how this works, so maybe you can answer me on Katie's blog? or email one of my kids?

I just happened to visit your blog and here I find out that you guys are having another girl! I know I'm only your brother from another mother but I thought you liked me. I'm sure you probably told me an I forgot, but if you need a boy I could send you one of mine. I'm sure they would love to come live with Uncle John and auntie EM.
